Age: 18 Height: 5'6" Weapon: Whip A top-notch member of SeeD who serves as Squall's instructor. A SeeD cadet at the age of 15, Quistis now instructs Squall and his companions at Balamb Garden. Contrary to her cool exterior, she occasionally has a difficult time coping with frustration, and as a result can become depressed over trivial matters. Quistis gives off the impression of being very professional, but aware personally of her students. She often tries to get Squall to open up more, and conciders herself an 'expert Squall observer', often finishing his sentances along with him or informing others what he's thinking. She believes for a long time that she is in love with Squall, but later finds it's only the lingering feeling of having to replace Ellone as an older sister for him, from their days in the Orphanage. When her teacher's license is revoked, the reason given being that 'she wasn't cut out to be an instructor', she goes back to being a SeeD. While Squall is on his mission in Timber, Seifer breaks out from the disciplinary room in Balamb Garden and tries to kill the President of Galbadia, Quistis follows him to try and stop him, and joins again with Squall's party.
