Age: 18 Height: 6'2" Weapon: Hyperion Gunblade Squall's rival who causes havoc within Garden. A candidate for SeeD. Althought Seifer is a naturally gifted soldier, his inability to take orders and control his temper has earned him the label of "problematic". Although recognizing and praising Squall's abilities, Seifer reguards him as his ultimate rival. Seifer is a member of the Disciplinary Comitte, which consists of him and his posse, Fujin and Raijin. He seems very impressionable, at the very beginning of the game if you look at the Balamb Garden announcements, you can see the book 'The Sorceress's Knight (Unabridged Version)' is overdue. Later on in the game, during your first battle with him, he claims to be Sorceress Edea's Knight. When you defeat him in Galbadia Garden, and Rinoa is possessed by Sorceress Ultimecia, she tells Seifer he must redeem himself, and then the Sorceress will provide him with dreams again. It's mentioned earlier that Rinoa and Seifer had met the summer before the story begins, possibly had a relationship. Seifer was raised in the orphanage with Squall and the others, and he seems to recall that time when he recognizes Sorceress Edea as being 'Matron'. It seems he's with the Sorceress at first for the thrill of it, he feels the need to be the center of attention, and later on he gets so caught up in the whole mess that he doesn't think he can get out anymore.
