Not being one to think matters through, he is known to act on impulse rather then reasoning. At heart, however, he is an honest, dedicated young man. Zell is very energetic and easily angered, especially when provoked by Seifer. Very animated in the expression of his emotions, Squall refers to him as being '...not energetic, just loud." His grandfather was a war hero, who was cool and calm in any situation. A black tattoo covers the left side of his face, though I don't think it symbolizes anything. He is looked up to by 'Big Bad Rascal' of Balamb Town, where he lives with his 'Ma'. Zell grew up in the orphanage with the rest of the group, and was constantly tormented by Seifer. During that time, he was a big cry-baby, which may be why he grew up to be a powerful fighter. When aggravated by Irvine on a train, he kneels down and punches the ground, causing the train's electrical systems to short out. On an optional side-quest, you can find out that Zell is in love with a girl from the Balamb Garden library, named Fifi. Quotes
